Rome Engineering is a civil engineering and infrastructure design firm based in the twin island republic of Trinidad & Tobago. Their clients include the private sector, government contracts for community redevelopment and the creation & maintenance of infrastructure in rural areas.
The island of Trinidad became known to the ‘new world’ when Christopher Columbus landed in 1498. Legend has it he named the island based on the three hills (La Trinité); which he saw upon approaching the island from the south. The islands are mountainous and the roads snake through them.
Energy exploration and production drive their economy. Trinidad alone produces petroleum and petroleum products, liquefied natural gas (LNG), methanol, ammonia, urea, steel products – making up 80% of its export earnings.
The brand had to reflect these things. We combined the mountainous landscape, local infrastructure and the underground lines that fuel industry, into this logomark for Rome Engineering.
