The Gainesville Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) serves its community through physical improvements and urban renewal to make neighborhoods more economically and aesthetically vibrant. Equal parts dreamers and builders, the CRA works with businesses, developers, property owners and citizens to improve the quality of life within designated redevelopment districts.

The CRA asked us for a fresh look and uniform set of communication tools as they take the first steps towards their final act…closing forever in 2029. With delight we answered the call.

We agreed rather than a countdown to close, the approach should be subtle and upbeat. Hello new 10 year tagline that sums up the agency’s work from 1979.

The new look needed to be fun, clear, but most importantly, manageable by their internal teams. Rather than introduce new assets we expanded on colors already in use and chose a workhorse font for its variety in weights and styles and for its clarity at any size. The goal was to ensure that anyone, no matter their design experience, would be able to confidently and colorfully communicate on behalf of the agency and recreate its character across different touchpoints.

The collateral kit includes new: business cards, deck design, an assortment of stationery, greeting cards and the FY18 Annual Report.
